1. Ukraine mobile carriers work together to keep smartphones online; finding rogue operators
The crisis in Ukraine has started to take its toll on civilians that are looking to stay connected to their family and friends to ensure their safety. This troubling time has led the Ukrainian telecom companies to work together to ensure that all citizens have access to communication tools in these times. A case of businesses working together for the greater good as opposed to the greater profit. Written by Ben Lovejoy on 9 To 5 Mac and editorial selection by Omar Zahran. Read the article here:

5. The C Book
Often it’s hard to sort through thousands of online tutorials and articles looking for concise, factual, and most importantly readable content. For all three, one that stands out for me is “The C Book” 2nd Ed. by Mike Banahan, Declan Brady, and Mark Doran, which was initially published in 1991. It’s available free online at https://publications.gbdirect.co.uk/c_book/ and is a great reference for the C language if you’re a beginner or moving across from a less useful, or higher level, language and I highly recommend it. Editorial selection by Dr. Stuart Woolley.
6. The Code Review Pyramid
This pyramid paints a great picture of what code review needs to have. Also, there’s a good separation of what can be automated. Written by Gunnar Morling on morling.dev and editorial selection by Miloš Živković. Read the article here:

8. Disadvantages of Functional Programming
I have an interest in functional programming and, as such, it’s always thought-provoking to get opinions about its positives and negatives. In this particular chapter from his book, Alvin Alexander makes some excellent points about why functional programming can often be challenging to existing programmers. Editorial selection by Dr. Stuart Woolley and read the chapter here:

9. The Algebra of Programming
I found an insightful article, than has ramifications far deeper than you think on first reading, from Kevin Welcher. It explores the applicability and relevance of algebraic laws in programming — in particular functional programming — in which the use of functions can be easily simplified making them both more readable and efficient. Well worth a careful read. Written by Kevin Welcher on Techspiration+Ideas+Making It Happen and editorial selection by Dr. Stuart Woolley. Read the article here:
